Mark is board-certified in Civil Trial Advocacy by the National Board of Legal Specialty Certification (NBLSC), and has been certified continuously since 1997.  The NBLSC is accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA) to provide certification to qualified attorneys, a rigorous process that officially recognizes extensive education and courtroom experience.  Certificate holders undergo a thorough screening of their credentials, including documentation of trial experience, judicial and peer references, and successful completion of a written examination.  For more information, go to www.nblsc.us.

In addition, Mark has been selected for inclusion in Wisconsin Super Lawyers (2009).  In selecting attorneys as Super Lawyers, a demanding multi-phase process is utilized, including peer recognition and evaluations of professional achievement.  Selections are made on a state-by-state basis and only five percent of the attorneys in Wisconsin are named in Super Lawyers magazine.  For more information, go to www.superlawyers.com.

Mark is a founding partner at Zalewski, Klinner & Kramer, where he primarily defends insurance companies and their individual policy holders in a variety of civil litigation, with an emphasis on negligence actions and tort-based claims.  His clients include private citizens, municipalities (counties, cities, villages and towns) and businesses.  Mark also routinely handles selected plaintiff's cases, primarily personal injury claims.  During his legal career, Mark has successfully represented clients at the trial court and appellate level throughout Wisconsin .  He has taken more than 40 cases to jury verdict in personal injury cases alone (both plaintiff and defense).

A native of central Wisconsin, Mark graduated from Medford High School in 1978.  He then earned his bachelor's degree at the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire in 1982, followed by his Juris Doctor degree from UW -  Madison Law School in 1985.  Mark then returned to the Wausau area, where he has been in private practice since 1985.  Although Mark's professional experience encompasses a wide-array of civil litigation for both defendants and plaintiffs, his current practice is most focused in the areas of personal injury and municipal liability.  Mark has a special interest in low-velocity impact motor vehicle accidents and roadway defect claims.
